Born in Gray May 26, 1914, the son of Ernest Clifford and Myra Frank Barton. Mr. Barton graduated from Pennell Institute in 1931 and Wentworth Institute in 1933. He worked at S.D. Warren Paper Co. prior to CMP where he work from 1942-1979, retiring after 37 years.
Mr. Barton was a member of the Westbrook Fire Department, I.B.O.E.W., receiving his 55-year pin in 1999.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He built a camp at Moose River in Rockwood in 1955 and spent all his spare time there.
Mr. Barton was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Merrill Barton in 1984.
