She died Friday, November 25, 2005. She was a 1971 graduate of Providence High School and attended Indiana University Southeast and Ivy Tech State College. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Sellersburg and a former member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, Floyds Knobs. She worked for ESSROC Cement Co. for 15 years as a purchasing manager and was currently employed by United Parcel Services SCS as a procurement coordinator. She was a member of the Purchasing Management Association of Louisville and NAPM, was certified from Alex Adams Modeling Agency in Louisville and was involved in many community and church activities. The daughter of Raymond L. & Dorothy Schmidt Gettelfinger, she was born July 24, 1953 in New Albany. Survivors other than her parents: a sister, Barbara Beach & husband, Chris, Floyds Knobs; three brothers, Dennis & wife, Becky, David and Duane Gettelfinger, all of Floyds Knobs; her fiancée, Dave Purcell; three nieces; and two nephews. Visitation at the Generations Funeral Home will be from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, November 29 and after 9 a.m. Wednesday. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church or Catholic School or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
