Born in Kanab Ut. November 14, 1962, Darla lost her 14 month battle with cancer the morning of September 19, 2009 at home surrounded by family and some of her many friends. She left us in peace to be with her father John Stewart Hardy who passed when Darla was only 15.
Darla grew up in Orderville, Ut, Graduated from Valley High School in 1981 and worked at the Thunderbird Restaurant. She moved to Cedar City in 1981 with friend Stacy Frost Figgens; they worked at the Brian Head Resort. Labor Day Weekend 1984, She met the love of her Life - Gregory Bartlett who had just moved to Parowan from California with Daughter Jennifer. They were together ever since. (Love at first sight??). She worked at Sullivan's Café and Coleman in Cedar City till 1997, when she took up the offer from husband Greg to be a "Stay at Home Mom" and raise their children, Jennifer Ann, Scott Jacob, and Shelby Lynn And also help run their trucking business, Bartlett Supply Inc.
Darla loved her crafts, and making quilts. She was always first in line to be a volunteer no matter what it was - for the City of Parowan, Scouts, both Boys and Girls, Little League, Soccer, School - you name it she had her hand up first.
Darla is survived by her Husband, Children, 1 grandson Mikey, her Mother Lenore Tisdale, and Step Father John Tisdale of Orderville UT.
