Emma S. Bartlett, 103, a resident of Albuquerque and past resident of Cochiti Lake, died Saturday, July 1, 2000. Emma was born to Henry and Carrie Mangelsdorf on January 8, 1897 in Kansas. She moved to New Mexico Territory with her family in 1908, where they homesteaded out of Clayton, NM. Emma moved to Albuquerque in 1939, then moved to Cochiti Lake in 1973 and back to Albuquerque in 1992.
She is survived by her three children; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Emma was preceded in death by her four brothers; her two sister; and John Henry's late wife, Lois Marie Bartlett and their daughter, Brenda.
Emma retired from the Department of Defense in 1971. She was an avid bridge player, enjoyed traveling and entertaining.
Private cryptside services were held.
Emma and Ivan divorced.
