Alzada Anderson, 85, died Sunday, March 3, 2002, at Glenvue Nursing Home. The Evans County native lived in Glennville most of her life. She was retired from the health care profession as a nursing aide, a homemaker, and a member of Cornerstone Bible Church.
She is survived by four sons: Roger Barrow and Jackie Barrow of Glennville; Charles Barrow of Savannah; and Robert Strickland of Pensacola, Florida; a daughter, Ada Barrow of Jesup; a sister, Ada Blocker of Manassas; a brother, Dewey Anderson of West Palm Beach, Florida; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 6, at 3 p.m. at Carter Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jim Sutton officiating. Burial was at Harmony Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jerry Waters, James Waters, Jason Waters, Danny Prudence, Scott Lamons, and James Lynn.
Carter Funeral Chapel of Glennville was in charge of the arrangements.
