George K. Barringer of Medford, formerly of Charlestown, passed away, March 24, 2017. Beloved husband of 48 years to Diane (Shapiro) Barringer.

Amy Barringer Lord & husband Robert of North Reading.
Loving Pops to 4 grandchildren. Beloved brother of Marion Joyce & her late husband Tom.
He graduated from St. John's High School in Cambridge. He would later go on to take various classes at Stonehill College.
George enlisted into in United States Air Forces on October 30, 1961 and served with pride and honor in the 752nd Air Force Band during the beginning of the Vietnam Conflict. He was discharged on July 8, 1965 with the rank of Airman Second Class.
George worked for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for over 30 years, retiring in 1995.
George's true passion was playing the drums. He was a 50 year member of the Boston Musicians Association and a member of the Boston Braves. George also played in various Society bands around Boston.
