ALFRED FREMONT BARRETT (Age 68)

Of Alexandria, VA passed away on March 28, 2015 after a battle with brain cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Christine; daughter, Alissa Barrett; and two stepsons: Dylan Robinson and Cody Robinson. He is also survived by his sister, Carol Cole. He served this great Nation for over 40 years as a Soldier, defense contractor and civil servant. Al is a decorated veteran whose military career spanned over 20 years to include service as a helicopter pilot in the Vietnam War and Department of Army Weapon System Acquisition Specialist. He received numerous awards and citations to include the Legion of Merit and Bronze Star.
Services will be held Wednesday, November 25 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Mary Catholic Church, 309 S Royal St, Alexandria, VA 22314, followed by internment at Arlington National Cemetery, with full military honors, at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Alfred Barrett's name be sent to Arkansas State University Beck Pride Center for America's Wounded Veterans, PO Box 910, State University, AR 72467-0910.
