JOHANNA BALDER, ST. GEORGE DIES, SERVICES TODAY
Resident of Benton County 57 Years-Formerly at Opole
Mrs. Johanna Balder, widow of Joseph Balder, died Tuesday at her home in St. George township after an illness of four weeks. Her death was caused by pleurisy and complications.
Funeral services were held this morning at the St. Lawrence church in Duelm and burial was made in the cemetery there.
Mrs. Balder was a resident of St. George township for 57 years. She was born June 14, 1855 in Germany and came to this country when she was 17 years of age. Her family settled in Opole and three years later, she married Joseph Balder, the couple going to Benton county and St. George township where they made their home on a farm.
Mrs. Balder leaves eight children: Mrs. Joseph Becker, Cass Lake; Mrs. George Dedrick, Superior, Wis.; Josephine, Alhance, Neb.; Robert, Anton, Felix, Mrs. Margaret Kampa and George all of Benton county. There also are two brothers, John and Michael Baron, also of Benton county.
