Betty M. Barnhill, 63, died Friday, March 1, 2002, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation is 2-5 p.m. today at Ott Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with a prayer service at 5 p.m. Services are 11:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with burial in Floral Hills Cemetery in Pearl.
Mrs. Barnhill was a native and lifelong resident of Hinds County and was a retired Systems Analyst for the Miss. State Tax Commission. She was a very active member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Jackson. Mrs. Barnhill was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Jackson and Dominican College in New Orleans and was a member of Who's Who of American Colleges and Universities.
Survivors include: her daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Josh Howard of Brandon; son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Libby Barnhill of Alexandria, La.; granddaughters, Brittany and Lauren Barnhill of Byram; sister, Tenie Buchanan of Jackson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Jo and Ron Kohler of Johnstown, Penn., Frances and Bill Watkins of Jackson, and Cecile and Raymond Brocato of Ocoee, Fla.; and 15 nieces and nephews.
