Mrs. Etta Mae Barnhill Brewer, 103, of Waycross died early Friday at Satilla Care Center after a brief illness. She was born September 7, 1908 in Ware County. She had made Waycross her home for all of her life. Mrs. Brewer was a homemaker and a member of Hebardville United Methodist Church. She loved to fish, work in her garden, and cook. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Frank Brewer, three brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Brewer is survived by her son, Stanley Fred Brewer and his wife Carla of Waycross, three grandchildren, Felicia Morris of Waycross, Jennifer Avertt of Montana, Dorothy Hester of Waycross and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home.
