Jennie graduated in 1945 from Trenton Junior College with an associate of arts degree and BA and BSE degrees in 1955 from Southwest Misssouri State University, in 1955-1956, she attended the Johannes Gutenberg Universitat in Mainz, Germany. She received her degree in nursing in Denver, CO.
According to the book MERCER COUNTY PIONEER TRACES, printed in 1997, she continues to pastor as a licensed local pastor for the United Methodist Church. She retired from Nursing in 1995 and is a member of the Princeton United Methodist Church, Cornelia Beekman Chapter of DAR(#512074-Coon), Thomas G Wade Circle of the Ladies of GAR, Mercer County Genealogical Society and Mercer County Historical Society.
