Born and educated in Irwin County, Ga., Mrs. Armstrong was a resident of Trenton for over 65 years.
When she and her husband, the late Nathaniel Armstrong, moved to Trenton, they joined Bethlehem Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. G.W. Porter, and served on the Deacon and Deaconess boards.
Mrs. Armstrong was also a former member of Friendship Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. E.A. Davis and of Mt. Although she never officially joined the Wayne Avenue Baptist Church family, they were always there to minister to her spiritual needs.
