She was a native of Gaston County, born to the late Thomas Franklin Barnes, Sr and Cora Lee Welch Barnes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Clarence, Robert, and Thomas Franklin Barnes, Jr. and a sister Rosa Cope.
Ruby Nelle had retired from Pharr Yarns with over 37 years of service, she also worked at Gaston Memorial Hospital UCC for over 3 years and did daycare work. She was a member for over 45 years at Sandy Plains Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities, where she played the piano in Sunday School, kids and senior class, sang in a Trio and in the choir.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of almost 55 years, James Henry "Jim" Bame, Sr.; her sons, James H. Bame, Jr and wife Kay of Boone, William Franklin Bame, Sr, of Gastonia,
Paul Gregory Bame and wife Anne of Gastonia; Grandchildren, Sylvia Nicholson and husband Sean, William Franklin Bame, Jr and wife Heather, James Richard Bame and wife Brittany, Madeline Bame and Michael Bame; Four Great Grandchildren, Cameron and Caitlyn Bame, Morgan Nicholson and Jaiden Bame;
