Bonnie B. Black, 76, formerly of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Powder Springs, GA. Mrs. Black was in the medical field having worked for several doctors in the Chattanooga area for over 25 years. She was a member of the Silverdale Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she was involved in the Women’s ministry for over 30 years. Mrs. Black was dedicated to her Lord, her husband, and two sons having made a home that was focused on God. She loved people, never met a stranger and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, R. Bernard Black; son, Bradley A. Black; sister, Evelyn Brakebill; and brother, David Barnes.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Lisa Black of Powder Springs, GA; six grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Elizabeth, Sarah, Alison, and Holly.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Steve Huff officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
