Graveside services for Ruth Finley, 85, of Rosenberg, will be at 10 a.m. Wed., Aug. 6, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Rosenberg. The Rev. Dan Walker will officiate. Mrs. Finley was born June 22, 1912 in Arkansas to parents, Albert and Sarah Barnes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Finley; three daughters, Peggy Krolczyk, Harriet Philipp, and Jayne Chautin; son, Scott Finley, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Sue Hurta and her husband, Johnnie, of Needville, and Beverly Henderson and her husband, Bill, of Naples; sisters, Grace Neal and Ollie Mae Campbell, both of Eudora, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Barry Chautin and Brian Philipp of Rosenberg, Cynthia Splawn of Houston, David Wilson of Rosenberg, Vicki Poag of Mount Pleasant, Clayton Philipp of Las Vegas, Nev., Cheryl Philipp of Onalaska, Texas, Holly Walling of Tyler, and Stacie Hurta of Needville; ten great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, 9122 Church St., Needville 77461. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday at Garmany and Carden Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Tues., Aug. 5, at the funeral home.
