Jan was born on April 10, 1942, in York, son of the late Adam and Almena (Shelly) Barley.
He retired from Harley Davidson Motor Co, Inc. after 35 years of serviceHe was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. There will be no viewing.
Jan is survived by two sons, Michael D. Barley and Christopher S. Barley, both of York; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Keith Barley, Ponca City, Okla., Jack Barley of California and Joseph Barley of Los Angeles, Calif.
A graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd., with the Rev. Timothy Allen officiating. A flag presentation and taps will be provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. The funeral procession will assemble at the main entrance of the cemetery beginning at 10:45 a.m.
