Born in Laurens County, a son of Oscar Barksdale of Gray Court and the late Annie Williams Barksdale, he was a veteran o the U.S. Army and a member of Mt. Carmel A.M.E. Church.
There are no immediate surviving relatives.
Services will be at 3:30 pm Wednesday at Mt. Carmel A.M.E. church; Burial in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home of Bella Barksdale, Route 3, Harmony community, Gray Court, and will receive friends 7-7:30 pm Tuesday at Beasley's Funeral Home, Fountain Inn.
The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 pm Wednesday.
