BELTON Betty Ann Barge, 87, of Belton died Saturday, June 5, at her home.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in North Belton Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Lewis and the Rev. Johner Martin officiating.

Mrs. Barge was born March 15, 1923, to Martha Server and Elbert Potts in Belton. She was a graduate of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and a longtime member of both the First United Methodist Church of Belton and the board of the Historical Society of Bell County. She was a schoolteacher before owning, with her husband, the largest full-blood Charolais (cattle) herds in North America. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Barge Jr.; and a great-grandson.

Survivors include a son, Vernon W. "Bill" Barge III; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Dossman Funeral Home of Belton is in charge of arrangements
