MANKATO — Adolph G. Bardon, age 83 of Mankato, formerly of Le Sueur, died on Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Oaklawn Health Care Center in Mankato.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, Feb. 16, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial with military honors by the Le Sueur Honor Guard will be at Mound Cemetery in Le Sueur.

Adolph was born on March 31, 1927, in Sibley Co., Minnesota to Walter & Pheobe (Schlegel) Bardon. He lived on a farm 4 miles west of Le Sueur until he was 11 years old, when the family moved to Henderson for a short time. After the family settled in Le Sueur he attended Le Sueur Schools. After school he worked various jobs and then began employment with Green Giant in Le Sueur from 1940 to 1947. He then worked with the Le Sueur Foundry, (Le Sueur Inc.) from 1948-1951. He married Dorothy Marman on May 19, 1949 ,before entering the United States Army in 1952 and spent some time stationed in Germany. After the service he worked for his brother in Le Sueur for 28 years at Bardon Mobil Service, 1954 to 1980. He began a 3-year working relationship with LaBelle's Auto Service in Le Sueur, 1980 –1982 and later did some painting until 1985.

Adolph is survived by his children, Steve (Renee) Bardon of Mankato, MN, Sandy (Larry) Stuber of New Auburn, MN, and Shelly Bardon of Mpls, MN; grandchildren, Candace (Peter) Lyons of Le Center, MN, and Cindy (Cory) Meier of Hutchinson, MN; great-grandchildren, Blake and Carson Lyons and Lucas and Van Meiers; brothers, Willard (Joan) Bardon of Le Sueur, MN, Howard Bardon of Madison Lake, MN, and Vernon Bardon of St. Paul, MN.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (1984); brothers, Ivan, Marvin and Eldred; sisters, Rose Miller and Ruth Kahlow.
