Mrs. Barden was born April 15, 1904, in Merrill to Henry and Hulda Labrenz Vonderheid. She was married to David Barden December 29, 1942 in Bessemer, Michigan.

Mrs. Barden was president of Doolittle-Barden Real Estate Agency in Minocqua, and was former secretary of the Vilas County Real Estate Brokers Association. She was a former teacher at Blair School, the Brickyard school, the French Ridge school, town of Harding school, and the Jefferson school in town of Texas. She was an early 4-H Leader in Lincoln County and worked with the 4-H groups in 1934 when the first 4-H Fair was held here. She was also a former Lincoln County caseworker for the welfare department.

Surviving are her husband David, three brothers, Henry and Walter Vonderheid, Merrill and Arnold Vonderheid, Milwaukee; and three sisters, Mrs. August (Elsie) Plautz and Mrs. Martha Schroeder, Woodruff, and Mrs. Werner (Henriette) Schult, Merrill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Helen and one brother, Paul.

Burial will be in Memorial Park.
