Brig Gen Charles W. Barber died in Charlotte, Mecklenburg Co., N.C., on January 7, 1943.
The lady that spent many years, as supporting, and with waiting for his safe return home from duty, was his wife, Katherine Runge Barber, born in 1875, and died in 1952.
