Lola Elizabeth Elwell, 70, of Warrensburg, died Thursday, August 8, 1991, at Western Missouri Medical Center.

She was born June 3, 1921, in Warrensburg, the daughter of John W. Barbee and Sadie Lavina Raker Barbee. She had worked at the TG&Y stores in Warrensburg in the early 1970's. She was a member of the Grover Park Baptist Church, the Glendale Extension Club and the Truman Lake Ramblers RV Club.

She married W.H. 'Buck' Whiteman on June 1, 1941, in Warsaw, and he preceded her in death on September 9, 1970. On November 3, 1973, she married Harold 'Bud' Elwell in Warrensburg.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Willis Barbee in 1946.

Survivors include her husband, Bud, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Lavina (James T.) Dudley of Chandler, AZ; a son, Don W. Whiteman of Lake Lotawana; two stepsons, Daric Elwell of Warrensburg, and Dana Elwell of Nixa; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 10, at the Grover Park Baptist Church. Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
