OBITUARY
Henry Clay Banks the oldest son of John Wesley and Louiza Banks was born in Appanoose County, Ia., April 9, 1855. He passed away at the home of his daughter in Moulton, March 29th, at the age of 76 years 11 months and 20 days.
He was united in marriage in August 1875 to Miss Alice Caylor, of Appanoose County, Ia. To this union were born three children. A son Park W., and a daughter Mrs. Gertrude Ogden, preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his untimely death his beloved wife; one daughter, Mrs. R. O. Sherman, of Moulton, a grandson, Cam Archibald of Buffalo Center, Ia., two granddaughters Mrs. Howard Alexander of Unionville, Iowa, and Mrs. Ray Whisler of Moulton; three great grandchildren, Mary Alice Archibald, Leoss and Rex Alexander. One sister, Mrs. Louiza Salters of Wichita, Kansas, one half-brother, Mr. Ray Banks, of Indiana, besides a host of neighbors and friends.
Mr. Banks was a man of sterling worth and character, a kind, loving husband and father. His sudden passing is a severe shock to all who knew him.
