Obituary: ALBERT D. BANGS
Albert D. Bangs, 72, of Ellensburg died Thursday, May 30, 1991 at his home following an extended illness. He was born September 19, 1918 in Yakima, one of four children of Mr. and Mrs. Edison Bangs.
He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, in the Philippines with the 19th Infantry and with his unit received a number of citations. Prior to retirement a number of years ago he was involved in the operation of the Liberty Cafe.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Bangs, of Albany, OR, and Dennis Michael Bangs, of Riddle, OR; one daughter, Darlene Musgrave, of Myrtle Creek, OR; nine grandchildrne; one brother, Larry Bangs, of Portland, OR, and one sister, Peggy Peterson, of Tacoma. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dolores Bangs, in 1937 and by a 16-year-old grandson, Robert Musgrave, in 1981.
Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery, Ellensburg, WA with military honors at graveside by members of the American Legion. Arrangements by Cotton-Steward-Williams Funeral Directors. [The Daily Record, Ellensburg, Wash., Fri., June 7, 1991, page 18]
