Rita Huffman Banes, 84, passed away November 12, 2012 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. Visitation will be 5:30pm-8pm Wednesday at Stringer Family Funeral Home and 10am-11am Thursday at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Services will be 11am Thursday at Shady Grove Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Banes was a longtime member of Homemakers and Garden club. She was a faithful member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. W. Banes and a grandson, Markin Bell.
She is survived by children, Larry (Diana) Banes of Hazlehurst, Alton (Pam) Banes of Pelahatchie, Rodger (Denise) Banes of Fort Worth, TX, Durita (Roger) Rials of Utica and Jackie (Jeana) Banes of Raymond; 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 8 sisters, 2 brothers, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to favorite charity of local church.
