Louise Smith Bane, 70, 1306 E. Adams St., died Friday evening in Ball Memorial Hospital after a long illness. A native of Winchester, Tenn., she moved to Muncie in 1926 and had worked for Ball Brothers Co. (now Ball Corp.) in the 1930s and '40s.
Survivors include four brothers, Burnice, Herschel, J.B. and Ray Smith, all of Muncie; three sisters, Virginia Thenis of Ft. McCoy, Fla., Ruby Johnson of Ft. Wayne, and Florene Ashby of Cowan, Tenn.; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Calling will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
