Seminole, Florida, Alice M. Ballinger, 82, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Suncoast Hospital, Largo, Florida. Alice was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Homer and Marie (Timbler) Lightle and they preceded her in death. She married Silas Murval Ballinger and he preceded her in death. She worked for 25 years at RCA. She was a past member of the 1st Christian Church of Gas City and the Grant County Democratic Party. She was a member of Chapel on the Hill in Seminole, Florida, the Red Hat Society, and Majestic Park.

Survivors include son, Gary Ballinger, Seminole, FL; daughter, Pamela (Charlie) LeMaster; siblings, Charlotte (Dick) Comstock, Gulf Breeze, FL, Pat (Bud) Spratley, Tuscon, AZ; grandchildren, Todd (Judy) Atkinson, Tera (Shawn) Gordon, Tate (Heather) Atkinson, Chris and Austin Ballinger; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Margret (Walter) Rumple, Joann Lightle, Carolyn Ballinger, Nancy Ballinger, Betty Ballinger, and JoAnn Ballinger; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Charles Sage, Minnie Childers, Bill Lightle, and son-in-law, Terry L. Atkinson.

Visitation is from 4-8 pm on Monday, October 26, 2009, and from 10 - 11 am on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Needham-Storey- Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, Indiana.

Funeral Services are at 11:00 am on Tueday, October 27, 2009 at Needham-Storey- Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, Indiana with Reverend David Ballinger officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery, Upland.

Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Grant County, Inc., Tower Suites, 305 S. Norton Avenue, Marion, IN 46952 or Community Foundation of Grant County, Inc. 505 W. Third Street, Marion, IN 46952.
