She lived in Lexington, SC and belonged to the Piece-Makers quilting group -- quilting, gardening, canning, cooking, & telling life stories, were her favorite hobbies. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church and the senior Sunday school class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Olin M. Ballentine; two sons, Olin Wayne Ballentine in 1992, and Frank David Ballentine in 2001; her parents, Charlie McLaurin Parrott & Lluellen Kelly Parrott; four brothers, and five sisters.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joan & Tom Lee; son and daughter-in-law, James "Jack" & Linda Ballentine; daughters-in-law, Nila Ballentine & Lucy Ballentine; her sister, Ida Dell Garner-Langston; brother, Frank Parrott; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Interment followed funeral services conducted at the Grace Lutheran Church, Gilbert, SC, Friday, August 22, 2008; Rev. Ralph "Russ" Stillwell presided.
