Early Life: Eric was firstborn of John E. and Meg Griffiths Ballard, in American Fork, Utah, on October 18, 1976. He lived the majority of his life in American Fork, attending local schools, graduating from American Fork High.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: Eric loved music, especially oldies, or any tune that he could dance to with a huge grin on his face; he was a karaoke king. He loved KFC, Pepsi, Family Feud, trains of any kind, but most especially, his family, particularly his two brothers. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was able to proudly recite the sacrament prayers from memory. Eric was afflicted with many serious health issues including epilepsy, but endured them bravely and cheerfully. He was a great blessing to his family and friends and will be missed. Eric John Ballard valiantly completed his earthly mission on Sunday May 4, 2014.
Survived By: His parents: Meg Griffiths-Ballard, of American Fork; John Ballard, of Sparks, Nevada; brothers: Sean (Lora) Ballard, Annapolis, MD; Devin (Tandra) Griffiths, American Fork; Aunt Mary Shirey, Pleasant Grove; and a five month old nephew, Thomas Isaac Griffiths.
Preceded In Death By: His maternal grandparents, Thomas and Mary Robinson Griffiths, as well as, paternal, Rupert and Sarah Boyle Ballard.
