Life's Work/Service/Interests: In 1975, Blaine married Nancy Robinson in Manti, Utah. Blaine left a legacy of making everyday life fun! No mundane task could survive his imagination and creativity. He could turn a lackluster board meeting into a Super Bowl-esque extravaganza. His favorite hobbies included hunting, fishing, tying flies, and shooting guns. He was a crack shot with skeet and trap shooting, and his children lost many bets pitting their shooting skills against his. His involvement in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helped a host of youth traverse the struggles and trials that affect many. Even though he did serve as a Bishop and High Counselor, he was best known for his tireless work with the youth. He was heavily involved in Young Men and Boy Scouts and through his fun-loving genius, helped many lackadaisical scouts achieve the Eagle rank. His career started in special needs education, he then transferred over to home building and managing; culminating in owning very successful Utah home building companies. He raised five Eagle Scouts and seven full-time LDS missionaries who served all over the world. Blaine Lee Ballard passed away September 15, 2013, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Blaine was 63.
