Mrs. Betty Jean Ballard was born November 28, 1947, in Oakland, California to the proud parents of Mr. And Mrs. Howard and Alois Anderson. It was in Oakland that she received her early education and religious training. She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age uniting with the Palma-Ceia Missionary Baptist Church.

Enter in her life, she met and married Johnnie Glen Ballard on May 2, 1969. To this union was born three sons, Carl, Keith, and Johnnie Jr. and two daughters; Tina and Terrie.

Mrs. Ballard departed this life on May 21, 1988. She leaves to mourn her passing, her devoted husband, Johnnie Glen Ballard, her children, Johnnie Jr., Carl, Keith, Terrie, and Tina. Her dear mother, Mrs. Alois Anderson, her two brothers, Jan and Ralph Anderson, and her sister, Mrs. Helen Smith. Mrs. Ballard also leaves her Mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mr. And Mrs. Johnny Ballard, six uncles and four aunts and twenty one nieces and nephews, and a host of others relatives and very close friends.
