Connie Orchard Ball, 76, passed away Sept. 12, 2015. She was born Jan. 25, 1939, in Jefferson, Iowa. She is survived by her beloved husband, of 56 years, Bill; children, Billy, Bobby, Bernie and Laura (Sean); grandson, Ryan; and four great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all that knew her. Connie was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and where she met her husband. After moving around with the Marine Corps, the family settled in Las Vegas in 1977. Connie loved her family, loved to read, she never went anywhere without a book, enjoyed doing puzzles, loved listening to Elvis and loved her dogs. Connie worked at Pier 1 Imports for over 18 years and prior to that worked at Thrifty Drugs, where she got her whole family hooked on ice cream. Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at La Paloma Funeral Services, 5450 Stephanie St. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to an animal shelter or animal rescue.
