Homerzell "Jack" Ball, 67, was raised and attended school in the Pine Hill community. He lived in Dallas for a number of years before moving to Olney. He was instrumental in organizing Rising Star Baptist Church in selecting its name. He later moved to Wichita Falls where he worked for Wichita Foundry until his retirement. He was a resident of Wichita Falls for 25 years. He was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.

Survived by his wife - Lillian Mae Ball; two daughters - Muareen Reed and Lethal Creek; two sons - Lorenzell and Gary Joe Ball; three step-daughters - Barbara Davis, Janice David and Linda Davis; three grandchildren.
