Funeral Rites For Samuel Ball
Samuel Leflore "Doc" Ball 72, passed away Friday afternoon at the Greenwood Leflore Hospital after a lingering illness.
Mr. Ball was born at Teoc in Carrol County and lived there 65 years prior to moving to Greenwood in 1950. He was a retired farmer and member of the Teoc Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife. Mrs. Lucy Woollard McDade Ball, and two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Kenneth, Jr., Greenwood, and Mrs. A. Neal Ward, Pittsburg, Pa.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the Wilson and Knight Chapel at 2:30 p. m. today (Saturday) with Dr. van M. Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Carrollton.
Pallbearers : F. T. Howard, Tommy Truitt, James Long, Lee Carr, J. L. Kerr, Hamp Williford, George Buchanan and Sam Long.
