The Correctionville News, 18 November 1954, page 6: Walter Edward Baldwin, 91, who resided with a daughter, Mrs. Harry Aspleaf, 916 Jones Street, Sioux City, died Tuesday at a hospital following a long illness. He was born August 17, 1863, in Hempstead on Long Island, New York, but went to Plymouth County as a child where the family farmed near Adaville. He moved to Cushing in 1900 and operated a blacksmith shop there until 1940 when he retired and moved to Sioux City. He belonged to the Cushing Methodist Church. Survivors besides the daughter are two grandsons, three great grandchildren and a brother, Charles of Cushing. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Nelson-Berger Funeral Chapel with Rev. R.D. of Trimble Methodist Church Acheson officiating. Graveside rites will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Cushing Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clyde, Lyle and LeRoy Aspleaf, Clarence and Walter Baldwin and Russell Peterson.
