Catherine, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Faunce, was born on March 13, 1805. She was probably born in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.
On January 29, 1824, she was married to Conrad Baker in the Kensington Methodist Episcopal Church in Kensington, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by Sal Sharp. Conrad was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1800 to Conrad and Mary Surrick Baker.
Catharine and Conrad lived in the Kensington section of Philadelphia where they raised their children Elizabeth Baker, Conrad Baker, Catharine Baker, Sophia A Baker, Amanda Baker, George Baker, Michael Baker, and Mary Baker. Conrad was employed as a fisherman. In 1800, they were living at 1100 Montgomery Avenue in Philadelphia.
Conrad died on February 24, 1881, and was buried in the Kensington Burial Grounds in Kensington, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Catharine was living at 1108 Montgomery Avenue when she died on December 11, 1891. She was buried in the Kensington Burial Grounds on December 16, 1881
