Arthur Earl Baker, 88, passed away on March 6, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on January 27, 1925 in Provo, Utah to William Herbert and Eva Caroline Bennett Baker. Art married Marion Collom on June 5, 1948 in Ogden, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a member of the US Army during WWII. Art was an active member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed scouting and the 20 years spent as a missionary with his wife at the Sandy Regional Care Center. Art was a collector of books, stamps, coins and rocks. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Survived by his wife, Marion; children, Steve (Martha) Baker, James (Sherrie) Baker, Carolyn (Joseph) Cannata; brothers, Robert Baker, Keith (Enid) Baker; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Lynn Cannata; great grandson, Gilbert Cannata; 8 siblings. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
