Clarene May, youngest daughter of Forest and Mary Baker, was born near Marshall, June 7, 1922 and departed this life November 18, 1931, aged 9 years, 5 months and 11 days. She leaves to mourn her early departure the father, mother; two sisters, Helen and Dorothy, three grandparents and a host of other relatives and friends.
Clarene was an exceptionally bright and lovable child, always having a smile for everyone. She was exceptionally good in her school work and will be sadly missed by her schoolmates.
While this is a sad hour for her loved ones, it will only be a short time, if they live faithful to their Master, until they will meet her again, where parting will be no more.
So we mourn, not as those who have no hope, for we feel confident that she is "Safe in the Arms of Jesus," and will be waiting and watching to welcome us there. So we say with our Master, "Father, They will no mine, be done."
The window was open,
The curtain was drawn,
An Angel flew in,
Our darling was gone.
A short funeral service was held at the home November 20th. Funeral services were held at the Hatton M. P. Church in charge of Rev. J. F. Collier. Burial was in the Darwin cemetery.
