Glenda "GG" Baker, 75, of Amarillo died Wednesday, July 8, 2009.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hillside Christian Church with the Rev. Roy Wheeler officiating, and the Rev. Mike Nuthman assisting. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 5400 S. Bell St.

Glenda was born Feb. 2, 1934, in Holder. She married Walter Baker in Stinnett on June 17, 1959. They moved to Amarillo in 1976 from Fritch.

She was a Realtor for several years and in retail sales for several years. Glenda was a member of Hillside Christian Church.

She was a homemaker who adored her family. She loved going to the beach.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Baker, in May 2000; her parents; a brother; and a sister.

Survivors include three sons, Kelly Baker of Santa Fe, N.M., Terry Hise and wife Becky and Tony Hise and wife Marsha, all of Dumas; a daughter, Lana Little and husband Greg of Amarillo; seven grandchildren, Reese Baker, Adrienne Koplik, Holiday Hise, Mitch Kourhy, Leah Hanson, Nicki Hise and Traci Hise; a great-grandchild, Ria Baker; and two sisters, ImoJean Nichols of Fort Collins, Colo., and Ida Smith of Bowie.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105; or Christian Relief Fund, P.O. Box 19670, Amarillo, TX 79114.
