Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Paul Anthony Spatafore on October 4, 2011.
Marie was a member of Gateway United Methodist Church and formerly Christ United Methodist Church. She attended Grafton High School and worked as a sales clerk with Hartley's and Jones' Department Stores in Fairmont, as well as Hills Department Store, and Westinghouse Corporation where she worked in the Tube Plant and Glass Plant Divisions. Marie volunteered her time with Fairmont General Hospital and enjoyed serving her church by helping prepare funeral dinners and serving as a Communion Steward. Marie loved spending time with her Red Hats group and being a thirteen-year member of the Life Long Learners through Fairmont State University.
Marie is survived by her daughters, Patricia Dickinson of Florida, and Pamela and her husband Michael Galik of Clearwater, FL, her daughter-in-law Patty Spatafore of Alabama, four grandchildren, Michael Spatafore, Sandra Dickenson West, Sammy Spatafore, and Lisa Bonfontino Hayes, and many great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Marie was preceded in death by her son, Paul "Sammy" Spatafore, her son-in-law Randolph Dickinson and her sister, Pauline Standard.
The family has entrusted arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554. A public graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 1PM with Reverend Jim Zinn officiating at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Mt. Zion Road, Fairmont, WV.
