Charleston - James Christopher Baker, of Chicago, formerly of Charleston died Thursday at Loyola University Hospital in Chicago following an extended illness. He was 17 years old.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Delmar and Janet Cox Baker, born June 24, 1960 in Charleston. The family moved to Chicago in 1968, where James had completed his sophomore year at Prosser High School.
Surviving is his parents; brothers, Del, Ricky and Michael Baker; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Baker and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cox.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at McMikle Funeral Home here. Burial will be in the Dogwood Cemetery.
