Mrs. Matilda Aber Dies at 96 Years
Mrs. Matilda Emmaline Aber, 96, died at 5:30 P.M. Monday, July 12, 1954, in the Greenfield Hospital, following a stroke suffered several days ago.
She was born September 3, 1858, the daughter of Jacob Bainter and Margaret C. Timmons Bainter.
Mrs. Aber was the widow of Carey F. Aber who died May 29, 1936, and was a member of the Methodist Church in Greenfield.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Warren (Mae Aber) Schleigh, and a grandson, Hugh Aber Schleich of Washington C. H.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 A.M. at the Walker Funeral Home in Greenfield and interment will be in the Greenfield Cemetery. Rev. Roy Vandergriff, pastor of the Methodist Church of Greenfield will conduct the services.
Friends may call after 7 P.M. Tuesday.

Matilda E. Aber, Greenfield. By her will she directed that a double marker, not exceeding $75 in price be placed on the grave of Charles and Addie Squier and a similar marker be placed on the grave of William and Eliza Anderson. To Hugh Aber Schleigh she left two $500 bonds, to her three sisters, $300 each; to the trustees of the Greenfield Cemetery $100 for the purchase of artificial wreaths to be
placed on the Aber and Wingate lots on Decoration and Christmas Day. The rest of the estate was left to Mae F. Schleich.
