Our community was much saddened on last Saturday morning to learn of the death of Miss Anna Mary, daughter of Mr and Mrs W H Baily, which occurred at their home on Wayne street, at 3 o'clock am. The family but recently removed to Waynesburg from Carmichaels, this county, and this daughter had entered the High School. She had for several years been in delicate health but seemed to improve after coming here. About a week before her death she was taken ill with gastritis but her condition was not considered serious. On last Friday about noon she grew rapidly worse and heart-failure resulted, her death following in but a few hours. She was aged fifteen years and was a bright young lady of happy disposition. Her unexpected death brought deep sorrow into the home, being the first break in the family circle. Funeral services were conducted at the home at 4:30 pm on Sabbath by Rev J M Mosly assisted by Reverend Wm Tipper. The remains were taken to Carmichaels on the following morning and services held in the M E church of that place, the interment being in the Laurel Point cemetery. The bereaved parents and brothers and sister have the sincerest sympathy of our people in their deep sorrow.
