Messina S. (Hemerly), wife of Charles W. Bailey, aged 38 years, 7 months and 19 days, died suddenly at her home in Kempton on Tuesday of heart trouble.

She had attended services at New Bethel Church in the morning and visited friends in the afternoon. She complained of a weak spell and succumbed before medical aid could be summoned.

She was a daughter of James and Wilhelmina (Sewald) Hemerly. There survive the husband and the following children: Melvin, Naomi, Loraine, Loretta and Blanche, all at home; her father, James, Berkeley; one sister, Betta, Mrs. Wilson Schneck, Allentown; and two step-sisters, Queen, Berkeley, and Mrs. Herbert Wagner, Leesport. Three children preceded her in death.

The funeral will be held Saturday, May 10, at 1 p.m. from her home. Further services and interment at new Bethel Church and cemetery. Rev. J. O. Schlenker will officiate. Undertaker B. F. Dunenhower, of Trexler, is in charge.
