Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, Patricia Ann "Patty" Bailey Reid, passed away January 4, 2017, after a long, hard-fought battle with dementia.
Patty was born in Murray, Utah on March 28, 1942 to Fred S. and Rena P. Bailey, Jr. Patty has two brothers, Fred S., III (deceased) and Terry (Ruth); and one sister, Kay Bailey Soffe.
She was born and raised in Murray City, where she was an avid swimmer and ice skater for many years.
She graduated from Murray High as an honor student in 1960.
Patty was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She married John D. Reid in 1961 but later divorced. Together they had three children: John A. (Tony), Paula, and Trisha; and seven grandchildren: Trina, Tara, Trevor, Bella, Roman, Amia, and Edenee.
Patty owned and operated "Pattie's Wig Wam" for over 50 years.
She had numerous customers that became lifelong friends.
Patty was a successful business woman who never shied away from a good real estate investment.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews and will be missed by many more.
Services will be held at the Taylorsville 10th Ward, 4950 S. 1950 W., Taylorsville, Utah on Thursday, January, 12, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing from 9:00-10:45 a.m.
Interment: Elysian Burial Gardens.
