Nathan "LeRoy" Bailey Sr, age 61, of Granite City, IL, passed away at Gateway Medical Center, Granite City, IL. Nathan was born on September 22, 1951 in Granite City, IL, a son to the late Lloyd and Josephine (Paladini) Bailey.

Nathan was retired from Granite City Steel. On September 6, 2008, Nathan married Sandra Depper in Granite City, IL. He enjoyed working with his hands, playing horseshoes and softball. Nathan was the type of man who would do anything for anybody if they asked; he was also a big teddy bear at heart. Nathan's greatest joy, besides drinking Diet Mountain Dew, was spending time with his family and friends. Nathan will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Nathan is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Bailey of Granite City, IL; two sons, Nathan (Kim) Bailey Jr., of Granite City, IL and Joe (Mindy) Wallace of Edwardsville, IL; stepson, Richie Miller of Granite City, IL; two sisters, Vicky (Darrell) Williams and JoAnn (Larry) DeVore both of Granite City, IL; seven grandchildren, Brooke, Austin, Joey, Ezra, Dalton, Kayleigh and Sierra; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation: friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Rd. Granite City, IL.

In celebration of his life, funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2013 at Irwin Chapel, Granite City, IL, with Rev. Brian Smith officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.

Memorial donations may be given to American Heart Association and will be accepted at the funeral chapel. www.irwinchapel.com
