DAVENPORT -- Services for Barbara L. Bailey, 68, Davenport, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.
Visitation is 4-6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport.
Barbara died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport.
She was a homemaker, a resident of Rock Island for 21 years and of Davenport for 47 years.
Barbara Bledsoe was born Nov. 27, 1931, in Iowa City, to Jessie L. and Ethel M. (Hallquist) Bledsoe. She married William C. Bailey Jr. on Sept. 11, 1953, in Rock Island. He died Dec. 17, 1996.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Davenport, and Iowa City Presbytery; International Order of King's Daughters and Sons; Scottish American Society; and Genesis Auxiliary.
She enjoyed sewing and being with her grandchildren and family.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Beth Bailey Neppl, Des Moines; a son, William C. Bailey III, Davenport; grandchildren, Jeff and Greg Neppl, Des Moines; her mother, Ethel Bledsoe, Port Charlotte, Fla.; and brothers, Don Bledsoe, Punta Gorda, Fla., and Jerry Bledsoe, Silvis, Ill.
