Mrs. Margaret Virginia "Mawmaw" Cline Bailey, 89, of Dalton, went to be with the Lord Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Ridgewood Manor Health Care.

She was born on Nov. 14, 1924, in Murray County, a daughter of the late Richard Frank and Mary Grace Dyer Brackett. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Cullen M. Cline and Oscar Bailey; son, David Cline; brothers, Eugene Brackett, Marion "Kit" Brackett, Oscar "Buck" Brackett; sister, Mary Defoore; granddaughter, Ashley Makala Defoore; special friend, Millie Simmons.

She is survived by her son, Grady Lamar Cline of Dalton; daughter, Frances Anita Cline of Tennessee; grandchildren, Anthony Lamar Cline of Tunnel Hill, Jessica Lynne and Joshua Lewis of Woodstock; great-grandson, Jackson Lewis; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Margaret Virginia Bailey will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with the Rev. Ray Hobbs officiating.

She will be laid to rest at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Gordon County.


The family will receive friends today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Ridgewood Manor for all the care they provided to Mrs. Bailey.
