Mrs. Baggott died Thursday, May 14. Born August 7, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Joseph and Eva Carolyn Heape Bailey. She grew up in the South Carolina lowcountry, later moving to the Columbia area where she resided for 58 years. She was a graduate of the Baptist Hospital Nursing School in Columbia, SC. She served in various capacities as a registered nurse throughout her lifetime. She was a member of the Baptist Nursing Fellowship.

Mrs. Baggott was an active member of West Side Baptist Church. She was involved in many areas of service and leadership. She was especially devoted to the work of the Baptist Women's Missionary Union whose purpose is to educate and involve women, girls and preschoolers in the cause of Christian missions.

She was predeceased by: brothers, Otis and R.J., and sisters, Joyce and Shirley. She was also loved by an extended family of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
