He was born on May 23, 1919 to the late Carl and Clara (Hirschfeld) Bailey.
Survivors include his daughter, Connie (David) McLallen, grand daughter, Kristen McLallen, great grand daughter, Allie McLallen. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Jonnie (Borden) Bailey, who passed in 2001, one sister, Rosemary Allen, one brother, John M. Bailey.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at the funeral home.
He will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
